SCHEDULE

Day 01 - Ushuaia

Arrival at Ushuaia airport. In the afternoon there is a visit to the National Park Tierra del Fuego. This amazing park has moors, mountain ranges and a beech forest. There are also rivers and a rocky seashore to explore.

Day 02 - Ushuaia - Tolhuin

Optional boat tour along the Beagle Channel visiting Sea Lions and Cormorants colonies as well as “Les Ecleraires” lighthouse, the landmark of Ushuaia. In the afternoon you depart from Ushuaia on the famous Panamericana Highway. Over the Garabali Pass, the last extentions of the Andean mountains, and following the shores of Lago Escondido and Fagnano, you finally end in Tolhuin, a small “Fueginien” town. The night is spent in a nice hotel overlooking Lake Fagnano.

Day 03 - Tolhuin - San Sabastian - Porvenir - Punta Arenas

Private transfer to Río Grande. Then public bus journey (without a local guide) up to San Sebastián. After border formalities you will be welcomed by a Chilean local guide. In a private tour you will be visiting the King Penguin Colony. Then continue along the senic coast line to Porvenir where you will board the ferry across the Strait of Magallanes to Punta Arenas.

Day 04 - Punta Arenas - Puerto Natales

In the morning there is a visit to the city of Punta Arenas which is the most important town in Southern Chile. Once in Seno Otway you will visit the Magellan Penguin Colony. Transfer to Puerto Natales where to spend the night.

Day 05 - Puerto Natales - Torres del Paine

An exciting excursion to the Torres del Paine National Park. You will enjoy magnificent views of the Torres massif, the Lago Grey and the Grey glacier. The rich flora and fauna is known through short walks. You will know Salto Grande and will have several stops to take photographs.

Day 06 - Torres del Paine - Cerro Castillo - El Calafate

Early private transfer to the frontier of Cerro Castillo in order to go through customs to cross into Argentina by public bus (without a local tourist guide). Continue the bus ride to El Calafate. There, a local guide will receive you at the bus terminal to transfer you to the hotel. Overnight at El Calafate.

Day 07 - El Calafate

Excursion to Perito Moreno Glacier. Ride of about 80km from the village through the Patagonian steppe to the park entrance. Here, at the foot of the Andes, the vegetation is green with lots of rain. Soon, the breathtaking sight of the glacier which is the only one in the world that is not declining and has walls of up to 80m high with bizarre-shaped ice towers and deep blue compressed ice colour, famous for its repetitive calving ice.

Day 08 - El Calafate

Transfer to the airport after breakfast.
