Day 01 - Buenos Aires

Arrival at the international airport of Buenos Aires (EZE). City tour through Buenos Aires. Visit to the May Square surrounded by the Government House, the Cathedral and the Town Hall. The tango district in San Telmo and the picturesque quarter of La Boca. Finally, the northern neighbourhood of La Recoleta with a completely different landscape.

Day 02 - Buenos Aires - Ushuaia

Flight to Ushuaia. This is the southernmost city in the world. It is located in Tierra del Fuego. This is an archipielago of 47,000sqm overlaid by eternal ice.

Day 03 - Ushuaia

There is a tour to the National Park Tierra del Fuego, located in the ecoregion of Patagonic forest and Altos Andes (it is a part of subantartic forest). It has an amazing landscape with moors , mountain ranges and rivers. There is a beech forest and a rocky seashore where to walk around. In the afternoon you can enjoy an optional boat tour along the Beagle Channel from where (with good weather) you can appreciate the city, mount Olivia and glacier Le Martial (Sea lions and Cormorants act naturally despite the proximity of the vessel) After sailing through islands such as Les Ecleraires with its typical lighthouse, return to Ushuaia.

Day 04 - Ushuaia - El Calafate

Airport transfer and flight to El Calafate. This town is rather small but famous for being at the edge of the National Park “Los Glaciares” in the South of Santa Cruz at the shore of the Argentino Lake. Willows and poplars have been planted so as to make El Calafate look like an oasis in the barren landscape.

Day 05 - El Calafate

Full day at Perito Moreno Glacier. Ride of about 80km from the village through the Patagonian steppe to the park entrance. Here, at the foot of the Andes, the vegetation is green with lots of rain. Soon, the breathtaking sight of the glacier which is the only one in the world that is not declining and has walls of up to 80m high with bizarre-shaped ice towers and deep blue compressed ice colour, famous for its repetitive calving ice.

Day 06 - El Calafate - El Chaltén

A 3-hours ride by public bus brings you to El Chaltén, the hikkers paradise of Argentina at the foot of the famous Mount Fitz Roy. The local agency will provide information about this incredible area and about which hikes you can do the following day. In case you don´t like to walk and prefer another program, we can organize an additional tour to Torres del Paine National Park in Chile instead (go to Additional).

Day 07 - El Chaltén

This full free day allows trekking without a guide along the endless routes across rock mountains, lakes, green valleys, glaciers, waterfall and all kinds of breathtaking landscapes.

Day 08 - El Chaltén - El Calafate - Buenos Aires

Transfer by a public bus to the airport of El Calafate from where you take a flight to Buenos Aires.

Day 09 - Buenos Aires

Transfer to the international airport of Buenos Aires (EZE).

Additional - Torres del Paine

In case you have chosen the additional option. The tour is as follows.

Day 06 - El Calafate - Torres del Paine

There is a bus ride to the border of Cerro Castillo or Puerto Natales (depending on the connections).  Then your visit to the Torres del Paine National Park.

Day 07 - Torres del Paine - Puerto Natales

This is a full day at Torres del Paine National Park where you will enjoy magnificent views of the Torres massif, the Lago Grey and the Grey glacier. The rich flora and fauna is known through short walks. You will also know Salto Grande.

Day 08 - Puerto Natales - El Calafate - Buenos Aires

After breakfast, from Puerto Natales you will take a regular bus to El Calafate to meet the principal group. You will be taken to the airport to take a flight to Buenos Aires.

Day 09 - Buenos Aires

Transfer to the international airport of Buenos Aires (EZE).
